1. Bodija market.
Bodija was the first market I was introduced to in Ibadan. And I must confess, the prices were fair to me then. I don’t know how things are at the moment, but you can be sure of good buys.
2. Challenge.
Challenge is quite the place. There are a lot of traders selling the same thing, so you have a choice to make. Don’t be fooled though. When they smile, smile. And if they decide to turn things around, you too, giddem.
3. Molete.
From what I know of Molete market, it is a roadside market. I could be wrong though. But they do have decent prices. One thing I find annoying though, is that their plantains look malnourished. Very tiny.
4. Oja Oba.
This is around the Olubadan palace. Once you see this statue, walk down a bit. Again, be reminded that you have to price things well. Otherwise, e be things.
5. Ogunpa Market.
You can find literally everything at Ogunpa market. It is a very large market and might be difficult to navigate if you are new. But once you get the hang of the movement and negotiating prices, everything becomes easy.
