These might seem like basic statements, but more often than not, they have some sort of in-depth connotation. Which means that after your girlfriend says any of these, you need to search yourself and find out what you’ve done.

If your Nigerian girlfriend says any of these things and there’s no contrary motive, you still need to be scared.

1. She says “okay, no problem”.

If she says this in the middle of an argument, just know you’re in for it.

2. When she says “don’t worry”.

Those two words are enough to make you cry. Is she giving you an easy out? Does she want you to worry or not?

3. When she says “it’s fine.”

Is it fine? How do you make amends?

4. When she says “I’m almost ready.”

Because if she says this, she probably just got in the shower.

5. When she says “come if you want.”

And it’s not even sexual. Is she trying to trick you into thinking you have a choice? Is she asking you to come? Does she not want you to come?

6. When she says “go away”

Or “don’t disturb me” Especially if you don’t know what you’ve done wrong. Is leaving the right thing to do?

7. When she says “have fun” when you go out without her.

You mean you’re not taking me with you to have this fun? You must have that fun.
