There’s so much new music being released that it’s hard for even the most loyal fans to wade through the trash to find the gems. That’s why we’ve created #BumpThis – a Friday series that features new songs, by and featuring Nigerians, that you absolutely need to hear.

Dyo — “Can’t Buy My Love”

British-Nigerian singer, Dyo first caught our attention with her work on Adekunle Gold’s “Down With You” – a standout off his sophomore album, About 30

. Since then, she’s reunited with Gold on the remix of “Arena” and teamed up with Mr Eazi for “Go All The Way”.

Now, she’s back with her third and final single of the year, “Can’t Buy My Love”. With the track — which was co-produced by Adekunle Gold’s new go-to beatsmith, Sess — Dyo continues her streak of immensely catchy and cleverly written songs.

Like the title makes clear, Dyo isn’t interested in being with a man who only brings money to the table. With each new single, Dyo leans even further into the afropop sound, making “Can’t But My Love” her most satisfying effort of the year.
