There’s so much new music being released that it’s hard for even the most loyal fans to wade through the trash to find the gems. That’s why we’ve created #BumpThis – a Friday series that features new songs, by and featuring Nigerians, that you absolutely need to hear.

Joeboy — “All For You”

After three successful singles, “Baby”, “Beginning” and the Mayorkun-assisted “Don’t Call Me Back”, Joeboy has concluded his breakout year with his debut EP, Love & Light. The project includes two new tracks, with the strongest being “All For You”.

On the track, Joeboy sings about loving someone beyond reason. Even though he knows how committed he is to his lover, he still doesn’t feel deserving of her undying affection. The stunning song, like the three that came before it, solidify Joeboy position as 2019’s most faultless newcomer.

YCee — “Dada” ft. Dapo Tuburna

YCee finally dropped his long-awaited debut album, YCee Vs Zaheer, and while the project is brimming with impressive tracks — seamlessly alternating between hip-hop and afropop — the song that stands out the most is definitely “Dada”, featuring Dapo Tuburna.

On the fantastically produced “Dada”, YCee seems to be having the most fun he’s had on a track in years, and his playfulness is utterly infectious. Dapo Tuburna also delivers a very strong assist, coming away as one of the album’s most memorable features.

TMXO, Lady Donli — “Mr. XLNC”

Following her masterful debut album, Enjoy Your Life, and a killer set at this year’s ART X Live!, Lady Donli proves she’s truly the gift that keeps on giving with the brilliant “Mr. XLNC” — a standout track off TMXO’s new EP, Making The Mavericks.

On the socially conscious track, Lady Donli calls out Nigerian politicians who don’t care about the people they were chosen to serve. TMXO’s production work is particularly outstanding, and Donli’s pointed performance makes it even better.
