There’s so much new music being released that it’s hard for even the most loyal fans to wade through the trash to find the gems. That’s why we’ve created #BumpThis – a Friday series that features new songs, by and featuring Nigerians, that you absolutely need to hear.

Peruzzi — “Mauriello”

While Peruzzi’s debut EP, Heartwork

, was unfairly slept on, the project’s standout song, “Majesty” was simply too good to ignore. On his debut album, Huncho Vibez, “Mauriello” is that song.

Just like “Majesty”, the Clemzy-produced “Mauriello” soars thanks to Peruzzi’s skills as a songwriter, which he really doesn’t get enough credit for. It also benefits from having one of the album’s catchiest hooks.

On the track, Peruzzi sings about the pain of being in love with a woman who, for whatever reason, isn’t in his life anymore. All in all, it’s a fantastic song that should win over anyone still doubting the DMW star’s abilities.
