There’s so much new music being released that it’s hard for even the most loyal fans to wade through the trash to find the gems. That’s why we’ve created #BumpThis – a Friday series that features new songs, by and featuring Nigerians, that you absolutely need to hear.

Zlatan — “Gbeku” ft. Burna Boy

At the end of last year, Burna Boy and Zlatan teamed up for the astonishing “Killin Dem”, which deservedly won ‘Best Collaboration’ at this year’s Headies. Now, they are back with another banger, “Gbeku”.

Produced by 2019’s most efficient hitmaker, Rexxie, “Gbeku” is a worthy follow-up to “Killin Dem”. On the zanku-ready track, both Zlatan and Burna deliver, but it’s Rexxie’s production work that inevitably steals the show.

Joeboy — “Don’t Call Me Back” ft. Mayorkun

With the one-two punch of “Baby” and “Beginning”, Joeboy announced himself as a thoroughly inventive new afropop star. Now, he’s back with another exquisite single, the Mayorkun-assisted “Don’t Call Me Back”.

On the track, Joeboy sings to an ex who just called it quits. While he hopes they get back together, he warns her to do it before someone else snatches him up. “Don’t Call Me Back” is further proof that Joeboy can do no wrong.
