We’ll never forget the wonderful music he gave us, especially “Send Down Rain”.

If you ever wondered why exactly Majek Fashek was known as “The rainmaker”, here’s why:

According to myths/rumours after his song “Send Down The Rain” was released, a two-year drought in Northern Nigeria ended.

We can never forget his swag of course:

We didn’t know this (touching) fun fact about Majek Fashek:

He didn’t know his birth date, so he chose Bob Marley’s birthday. February 6.

Importantly, we’ll never forget how he spoke for truth and freedom with his music.

He called for the freedom of Mandela through his song “Free Africa, Free Mandela”.
